Application for extension of period of stay is a necessary procedure to continue to engage in the same activities in Japan as those permitted by the current visa. You can apply for the extension of your period of stay before the expiration date of your current visa (approximately three months before the expiration date of your current visa if your period of stay is six months or longer). Make sure you have enough time to complete the application process. You can register the information necessary for application using your smartphone or PC.
When you receive an email from the school requesting you to complete the application process, click on [Accept the invitation].
A red icon will be displayed next to the pages that have not yet been entered.
A check mark will appear next to the heading when you have completed filling in all the fields provided in each section. For a detailed explanation of each item and how to enter it, please refer to this page.

When you have finished entering your information and all fields are checked, tap the [Apply] button to submit the information to the school.
